It's the first of November, and that means...
It's NaNoWriMo time!
For those not in the know, this fun-to-say word stands for "National Novel Writing Month". Every November, aspiring novelists everywhere break out their thesauruses (thesauri?), laptops and imaginations and get to writing. NaNoWriMo is a way to challenge amateur authors to write a novel in *gasp* ONE MONTH! On November 1st, you'll notice your writer friends begin to act a little erratic and some of them might go missing entirely. But have no fear... you'll see them in December! In the meantime, they'll be hunched over their keyboards, frantically trying to meet what I see as a nearly impossible deadline. And hence, the participants of NaNoWriMo have my undying (and well-deserved) respect.
