So... for any true Gilmore girls fan, you will remember this book being mentioned several times by Rory and Richard.  If you're like me, you'll remember is mostly because it's a funny ass word.  I will admit, I thought it had something to do with math.  And we all know how much I looooove math.

But here's a little something that I recently learned that I'll now pass on to all of you...

A "chrestomathy" is a collection of choice literary passages, used especially as an aid in learning a foreign language.

That doesn't sound like math to me!  Phew!  But if this is all an elaborate plan to get me to read about the dreaded arithmetic... H.L. and I are going to have problems.

So put down your abacus and your slide rule (because I know you like to go old school) and pick up A Mencken Chrestomathy by H.L. Mencken.
