Beloved children's author, Maurice Sendak, died today at age 83, due to complications from a recent stroke.

Maurice Sendak was a huge part of so many childhoods. And will continue to be for years to come. Where the Wild Things Are was published in 1963, and to this day, no nursery bookcase is complete without a copy.
