There's never enough time!
I apologize... I was recently selected to serve on a jury (civic duty, effteedubs!) so my life was basically put on hold for 5 days. We finally reached a verdict yesterday (late) afternoon... so now I'm back! As a status update, I'm about halfway through The Grapes of Wrath. I should have had some reading time available to me during this experience, but Baby Wolverine had gouged my eye a few months back and it acts up at the most inopportune times (i.e. the first day you're on a jury so everyone in the courtroom thinks you're moved by the testimony, have pink eye or have allergies). Months and huuuuundreds of dollars in co-pays later, I have an appointment with a cornea specialist on Thursday. Here's hoping they figure something out! When it impacts my ability to read, NOW we have a problem! So, as I continue to work my way through The Grapes of Wrath, watch this awesome scene from The Twilight Zone that my friend Cathy recently shared with me.
