We Gilmore girls have a special interest in this year's Oscars.Melissa McCarthy (aka, our very own Sookie St. James) is nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her HILARIOUS work in Bridesmaids. If you haven't seen it yet, get your ass to your local Redbox, or get thee to Netflix.com and have that sent to your house ASAP. Because it.is.HYSTERICAL! I'll give you five words: Sookie pooping in a sink. That's all you need to know. The sweet, innocent Sookie we know is nothing like the crass, rough Megan... sometimes I had a hard time remembering that it was the same actress. I know chances are that an actress in a comedy winning the Oscar are very slim. But I love Melissa McCarthy without abandon. She's proven that you can be beautiful, successful and beloved without being the typical size two blonde actress. Between Bridemaids and Mike & Molly, I'm so pleased to see that Melissa's career is going so well and we hope to see even more awesomeness from her in the future. Good luck tonight, Melissa! We'll be cheering for you! And I just had a sighting of Melissa on the red carpet and she looks soooo gorgeous, there's actually a tear in my eye! Look how preeeeeetty!
