My new-found love of Audible and what I'm reading now!
I am currently obsessed with Audible. If you haven't yet checked it out, it's a website where you can pay a subscription fee ($14.95 for one credit, one credit buys you one book per month) to download audiobooks (and if you know how expensive audiobooks usually are, you fully understand what a steal this is). My commute recently increased from 25 minutes each way to double that, and I felt like I was missing out on so much great reading time. So I decided to ditch my Sirius

Tears, guys... lots of tears.
Amy Sherman-Palladino, in her ever-infinite awesomeness, had her girls from Bunheads do a "farewell dance" for their many (although not enough for ABCFamily) fans set to "Blues for Baby and Me" by Elton John.

So long, AS-P... we know we'll see you again very soon! Now where's that damned box of Kleenex?! #bunheads #amyshermanpalladino

Sunday, Sunday...
This is my Sunday. At my in-laws, reading some John Irving outside while I drink some coffee out of a Santa Claus mug!

"You had me at 'talking 'bout dongs"
I still have yet to procure a copy of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf because I'm askeered of the library right now. But I will soon, I promise! In the meantime, here are a cute fun things I found about Edward Albee plays. #whosafraidofvirginiawoolf #edwardalbee
Worse than Finnegan's Wake
Later on in the series, we're going to hear a bit more about the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library at Yale. I'm actually hoping to make a pilgrimage there once we get to that point (ah, the benefits of living in Connecticut as a Gilmore girls lover).
Housed at the Beinecke is a book I am utterly fascinated by... The Voynich Manuscript. Carbon-dated to the 15th century, the contents of this book have continued to elude scholars since Wilfrid Voynich first purchased t

A home for every book
As I'm in the process of purchasing a new home closer to my hometown (yes, I'm brilllllliant and decided to sell my home and buy a new home starting at about my 7th month of pregnancy. Let's just say it was a blast to be packing up my house at 9 months pregnant and running out of the house for last minute showings with a 1 week old during maternity leave), I'm starting to get the decorating itch. All day long, I think about paint colors, I peruse Pinterest to come up with c
I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down!
The next book in s1:e17 is the play Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf by Edward Albee. I'm actually bummed that I didn't realize this was coming up in the challenge... the final performance of the Tony award winning Broadway play was in March of this year.
And I'm doubly-bummed because I just realized that it's not available for the Kindle and I reallllllyshouldn't be purchasing new books as we're in the process of moving into our new home. That handy dandy library inventio

Nancy Drew #33: The Witch Tree Symbol by Carolyn Keene

Reading is Chuck Bartowski-approved!
My friend, Lauren and I just recently discovered (and subsequently fell in love with) the tv show Chuck. And with that comes the inevitable insane crush on Zac Levi (I'm personally more of an Adam Baldwin girl... but Zac is a very close second). Zac is the founder of The Nerd Machine, a great website that promotes "nerd culture". He famously hosts Nerd HQ... various panels that take place during San Diego's Comic-Con(including the cast of shows like Chuck, Supernatural, Fire
Shoofly pie, anyone?
The first book in s1:e17 is Nancy Drew: The Witch Tree Symbol (#33) by Carolyn Keene. Although I am a red-blooded American girl, I must admit that I have never read a Nancy Drew book. I was a tried-and-true Babysitter's Club chick all the way (come on! Like Gilmore girls, it also took place in Connecticut. I might be a bit obsessed with my state... what of it?!).
Although Lorelai mentions reading all the Nancy Drews, I did the math and that amounts to something like 30
