A few interesting facts about Charlotte Bronte, as we work our way through Jane Eyre...
She died at the age of 38, when her health rapidly declined during pregnancy.
She published Jane Eyre under the pen name "Currer Bell"
She was said to be the most dominant and ambitious of all the Brontes.
She was the only Bronte sister to live past 31 years old.
She was the only one of her sisters to marry. She married eight months before her passing.
Although her official death is listed as due to tuberculosis, there is speculation that she died from dehydration and malnourishment as brought on by severe morning sickness.
