I remember a Seventeen magazine that advertised jewel-toned Caboodles and advice on how to kiss with braces.
Just a "few" years before that, they were publishing stories and poems by a teenage Sylvia Plath.

As the librarian said when she saw what book I was checking out... "This should be some cheerful reading."
